WRITING THE REAL
In this ongoing workshop, we seek to develop our writing voices and deepen our relationship with language through weekly reading and writing assignments. Each week, we will discuss technique in the pieces we have read and work with the pieces we have written in the group.
Our goal is not merely to produce work, but to gain a greater understanding of the artistic process by gathering the courage to take chances, experiment, and delve deeply into our hearts and minds so we may write from the truest possible place. The only thing we are to be certain of is that everything must be uncertain—allowing us not merely to be brave, but to produce great art. Writers need to allow approximately 3 hours weekly outside of class to complete assignments. All are welcome!
Bring: Notebook and pen or laptop
Fee: $300 for the 6 week series, payable by check or Visa/Mastercard upon registration. Space is limited to ten people.
